The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians is an historic Palm Springs based federally recognized Native American Tribe with more than 500 members. The Tribe is steward to more than 31,500 acres of ancestral land. The cities of Palm Springs, Cathedral City, and Rancho Mirage as well as portions of unincorporated Riverside County span across the boundaries of the Agua Caliente Indian Reservation.
As a Native American Preference employer, we give preference in recruitment, employment,
training, and promotion to qualified members of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians and other qualified Native Americans.
When two or more individuals being considered for employment or advancement opportunities with us have comparable qualifications, preference will be given in the following order:
1. Officially enrolled members of the Tribe (ACBCI).
2. Other Native Americans who are enrolled members of recognized Indian Tribes.
3. Current employees who are qualified and in good standing, applying for promotion or transfer in accordance with the policies and procedures for promotion or transfer.
4. All other candidates.
Preference is given to qualified Native Americans in accordance with Federal Statute 25US472.
However, no individual will be hired or promoted into a position unless he or she meets the minimum requirements of that position.
Any individual expressing interest in an open position, and meeting the minimum requirements of that position as specified in the job posting, is requested to complete a formal application of employment.
